He made the famous 1985 vintage of Groth Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve,
which was the first American wine to receive 100 points from Robert Parker.
Kirk has followed in his father's footsteps, attending UC Davis
and working as a consulting winemaker for several vineyards.
He has achieved numerous 100 Point scores himself,
and boasts a staggering 17 wines which were rated 98 to 99 points!
